NEED HELP Getting Weapon Returned

On Tuesday My G/F Was Taken Into Custody By TexasCity PD For a Traffic Warrent BUT Her HandGun was Handed Over To LaMarque PD And NOW THEY (LaMarque) WONT RETURN IT TO HER They Are Giving Her THE ROYAL RUN AROUND And YES SHE IS A CHL HOLDER....WHAT CAN WE DO TO GET IT RETURNED TO HER ?? Has ANYONE EVER HAD TO DEAL With THIS ISSUE IN LaMarque /TexasCity and if So What Was Done To Have Their Weapon Returned To Them ??

What is the grounds on which they claim they are keeping the weapon ?

Have her attorney contact them for an explanation. If they can't articulate a reason that will hold up in court, he ought to be able to mmake them cave with a few well chosen words. They're doing it to her without any legal explanation simply because they think they can. An attorney can make them understand that this is a decision which might cost them more money than it's worth.

After the first refusal to return my property, I would report the gun theft to my local LE agency.
