I have noticed a few variations in messaging on what people are reporting, specifically towards the end of the process. Many people report "Print pending completion of application review" while mine simply says, "Print Pending". Is there a difference or is it just semantics? Has anyone else noticed this?

still waiting for background 4/10....

I've seen others who completed the class and app submission the same weekend as I did and they've already cleared background review and some even rec'd ltc in the mail... I realize there is a 60day window, but this wait is a killer...

I work FOR the State of Texas, my background check should be a breeze....

Mine said "Print pending completion of application review" then switched to "print pending" the next day. i guess they put that when they are still running your background.

Yeah, mine never said "...completion of application review". I wonder if they find ANYTHING they have a question about, they put another set of eyes on it??? Who knows. I just thought I would ask the question to see if anyone had knowledge of why that happens that way.

3/22 Emailed them asking if there was anything I could do to help speed up the process
3/24 Received "Our records indicate your application is processing. No additional documentation is needed at this time. This can take up to eight (8) business weeks to complete once your application is submitted and starts from the date on which all documents are received.
Your supporting documentation was received on 03/02/2018. If additional documentation is required, you will be notified by mail.

A friend that went with me to LTC class on 2/24 Submitted his paperwork on 3/13, went for fingerprints on 3/16 and had plastic in hand 3/26
and another friend of mine that went to class with me and submitted all his paperwork on 2/28 still hasn't received his.. So I guess there is no rhyme or reason to who gets theirs quick and who has to wait

Still haven’t received any emails and DPS website doesn’t say anything.

Not sure where I am in the black hole.

Did DPS send you an email acknowledging receipt of documents and if so, how long after submittal?

I received an email the same day I submitted all of my paperwork and it took a few days for the site to update
