I for one blame the military assault style vehicles. No needs 2 to 3 tons of steel that they can use to mow down someone. They should be riding bicycles or even better a horse. Situational awareness works for driving also. I drive a pickup with great mirrors, but I still hate people who drive on anyone's quarter panel because it is a blindspot that all Drivers Ed classes teach is dangerous.

While I'm on the soapbox, the number of people I see in the left lane doing 10+MPH under with a phone in their ________ hand (or hands) is still unbelievable!

There are times I wish I had the old gocart bumper rails all the way around my truck.

That's it!! We need common sense vehicle controls. First, we need a vehicle owner's Identification card, a VOID card. No one can own a vehicle until they pass a background check, finger printed, mugshot and installs a GPS device on all their vehicles to allow government tracking.

We need to ban high capacity vehicles, except for school buses. We need to ban any driving between midnight and 5am without a special permit/endorsement on their VOID card. We can no longer recognize drivers licenses from any other state.

Anyone wanting to drive, then has to get a special drivers license. Before anyone can drive, they have to file their route with the FHA, Federal Highway Administration. Any deviations in routes require filing a new route first.

Every vehicle must have a breatherlizer to start the vehicle.

Thus is just Democrat Common Sense!
