College student arrested. Rifle and 2000 rounds found in his car.
I’m sure if it was a semi automatic rifle they would have said. He remains in jail.

How do you “forget” you have a rifle and 2000 rounds of ammo in plain view inside your vehicle?

Range day on Sunday, get busy and forget it in the trunk. It only says they saw mags. The guns and ammo very well could have been in the back.Grayling813 wrote: Thu Aug 29, 2019 10:45 am How do you “forget” you have a rifle and 2000 rounds of ammo in plain view inside your vehicle?
2,000 rounds really isn't a stretch to have for some of us on range days. Especially if it is 1000 round bags that are set in ammo cans. The article also didn't say if it was all ammo for that specific weapon. This week I had well over 2000 in the truck- but that was +/-800 5.56, 1200 9mm and at least 1600 22LR. All in, that was 3600. Plenty to label me as a 'crazy', and it easily fit in 2 ammo cans and a plastic range box.

It is as if the amount of ammo one has is somehow indicative of the level of criminal intent. Holy cow, I have well over 40K rounds of ammo in different calibers. I know I have carried 1000 rounds of ammo to the range with me at times. The darned media would act like I am some kind of crazy.PriestTheRunner wrote: Fri Aug 30, 2019 9:02 pmRange day on Sunday, get busy and forget it in the trunk. It only says they saw mags. It could have been a Ruger 10/22 with four bricks of .22 LR? Like was said earlier, one has to question the news. What has become of truth in journalism?

Those dopes don't know anything about firearms and ammo and don't bother to find out.

I’d say they would have all your stuff laid out on blankets in the front yard for the news cameras to capture for the evening news after the red flag laws are passed and somebody SWAts you. They would use war as an adjective in the breathy reporting.03Lightningrocks wrote: Fri Aug 30, 2019 9:09 pmIt is as if the amount of ammo one has is somehow indicative of the level of criminal intent.
