This hit our little town yesterday afternoon. It was described by witnesses as an initial grab for the victim's wallet.

Got gas there at about 9am yesterday.

Never to need/get my gas in seedy areas has been my rule - buy local ahead of time and daylight. As you know, this ain't a seedy place and was bright daylight to boot. I'll upgrade to show open when pumping no matter where.

When I read the title I thought it was going to be a warning about catching corona virus off the pump handle.

This the reason I OC all the time. Any evident means of self defense is a deterrent to crime.Archery1 wrote: Fri Mar 27, 2020 9:54 pmNever to need/get my gas in seedy areas has been my rule - buy local ahead of time and daylight. Here in Angelina County I a seeing a pretty fast increase in crime as time progresses. So far the greatest increase is night vehicle burglaries. Keep it locked and make it hard and loud to steal.

Carry 24-7 or guess right.

LOL, that was my first thought too. The virus can live 3 days on metal/plastic and everybody touches the pump handle... I am using disposable gloves to get gas now.03Lightningrocks wrote: Fri Mar 27, 2020 11:01 pm When I read the title I thought it was going to be a warning about catching corona virus off the pump handle.

I have no disposable gloves but last Thursday I was using a big old wad of paper towels. I was so distracted by staying off that pump handle I overflowed my gas tank by a half gallon of gas. I haven't done that one in years.Paladin wrote: Sun Mar 29, 2020 4:27 pmLOL, that was my first thought too. The virus can live 3 days on metal/plastic and everybody touches the pump handle...
