He was braking windshields, threatening other people, and wanted police to kill him. Instead police used a nonlethal munition toget him to drop the saw and talked him into custody. While being jeered by “bystanders”

The article errs somewhat with the perp’s name, per court records. His actual name is Shane Vondel Michael Greene, and using the oregon court search function he has had many interactions with the judicial system.

Someone filed a civil case against him 10 days after the attack. I wonder if one of his victims is suing him?

Remarkably clear video. I hope the ladies are ok. I bet a lot of the victims are wishing they had a gun to defend themselves with.

I've been curious as to how seriously Oregon would handle this case in light of other events.
This guy is a convicted sex offender and was convicted of stalking a female prosecutor (who didn't have anything to do with his cases) about five years ago. Along with numerous drug related legal events.
The online Oregon case system seems to indicate that a restraint order was granted, and has other interesting entries like "refused to come to court" (from jail I believe) and "use of courtroom restraints."
Appears he is still in the Multnomah County jail.
Just occurred to me that the civil case is probably a request for a restraining order.ELB wrote: Sun Aug 02, 2020 9:33 pm ...
