Any word if they will be lowering the price of renewal? Whether or not they do, I will be renewing mine. I like using it as an ID card when asked for.

Base price is still $40 for a 5-year renewal

Yes, for all the reasons previously mentioned, but the (nearly) instant gratification of bypassing NICS is the one I enjoy the most (it does take me a few minutes to complete the 4473.....) :mrgreen:

Thanks for the info guys. At that price I wish thy had a life time renewal. As a senior I will only have to pay 35 dollars.

Reciprocity is worth the $10/year. Every other reason is just bonus. :lol:

I renewed mine in June for 5 more years.
4/13/1996 Completed CHL Class, 4/16/1996 Fingerprints, Affidavits, and Application Mailed, 10/4/1996 Received CHL, renewed 1998, 2002, 2006, 2011, 2016...). "ATF... Uhhh...heh...heh....Alcohol, tobacco, and GUNS!! Cool!!!!"
