Reliant Hall Gun Show today and tomorrow

Post by CaptDave »

I was wondering how many of our members will be at the gun show at Reliant Hall today?

I have a plan...

I am going to trick the wife into going to a "brunch"...Feeding them first always lowers their awareness...

Then I plan on driving in the general direction of the show...Telling her that I believe there is a "show" (implying a crafts show) at the Reliant Center...

Don't worry...She can't get mad...She did the same thing to me last year..."Show", implying a "gunshow"...But it turned out to be a "crafts show"...

I'll let y'all know what hospital and room number, K?

I'll be there around 1:00 or 2:00 today. I'm hoping to find some cheap reloading supplies.

Stevie_d,
Glad to see my wife is not the only one to use that trick to go to a craft show. As many crafts as she does, I wish I could get her into leather working (holsters, mag pouches). What do you think?

Well......you could be telling the truth Stevie! As you know, it is very very common for a craft show to be part of the reliant gun show....they usually have some sort of collectible tables and craft stuff at the back! I made the show a couple of months ago and think I am going to save my pennies for Mesquite!! I have talked my wife into allowing new sights on the G17 so I must start thinking about something new to work toward

Today was range day since likely will rain tonight and tomorrow, so will be there early Sunday. You guys remember there is a Gem and Mineral Show in adjacent hall so wives who are non-gun can go to that while you walk the floor.
My wife person actually going to this one with me. The little KAHR I got her has sparked some interest. Needs a holster, and ...........

If anyone is going I would like you to look for something for me, please. I never get to the shows because I am always working on Saturday and Sundays. I am looking for a vintage Colt Mark IV Series 70 Box. I would like the box to be made around 1979-1981. I will pay you for the box, shipping, and your time. If anyone finds one please let me know.

You're right, they do tend to have a few tables in the back corner selling crafts-sy stuff...

A combo deal...

I heading to the show today to "look around". I've got an itch to pick up a PM9 with night sights, so I figure I can look around for a good deal. Anyone care to point me to vendor with good pricing? I may look at revolvers too, but I've pretty well decided on the PM9 instead. Should be there before noon or around noon.

I had planned on going but got shot.......by my doctor that is. I started running fever on Thursday and went to the doctor on Friday and found out I had walking pneumonia. He gave me 2 shots of penecilin and what he calls his cocktail mix. Only place I went was to bed.

I hope those of you that went had a great time and found some great bargains.

I had read somewhere that the Houston Gun Collectors Association was going to allow ammo sales at their shows, beginning with this one. Was this correct?

I did see some loaded ammunition, but was disappointed at the very small number of booths selling componets. I ended up not picking anything up there that I had intended.

I think the number of vendors will probably increase as more of them realize that they may sell ammo and components now at Reliant.

At least let's hope so...
