Today, February 23, 2023, marks the 187th anniversary of the siege of Alamo. The siege lasted 13 days. In 1836, a leap year, this included February 29. 2023 is not a leap year. While we celebrate March 6 as the end of the battle, March 7 marks the 13th day this year.

If only we could celebrate once again by making Texas an independent Republic.Rafe wrote: Thu Feb 23, 2023 1:55 pm
And remember that, in barely a week, we celebrate Texas Independence Day. The declaration making Texas a Republic was adopted March 2, 1836. This will be the 187th anniversary.
