California bans Glocks

Post by rtschl »

BREAKING: California Gov. Gavin Newsom has signed AB 1127 — which prohibits firearms dealers from selling Glock and Glock platform pistols — into law.

We’ll see you in court.

Really? Ban just Glocks? What reason, a public emergency? All murders in CA with just Glocks? Extra scary looking?

Never attempt to apply logic and reason to the actions of those who are going to save humanity from itself. Theirs is a greater cause than common sense - if the rest of us could just see that, they wouldn't have do these things. Glock's problem is that they are popular and everyone wants one. You shouldn't be allowed to want something that is not good for you.

It's a reaction to "glock switches." I kid you not….They think that the Glock pistol is a machine gun because you can hack it with a switch. It hasn't occurred to them yet that it's not going to be that difficult for switch-makers to design units to fit lots of striker-fired pistols.

Glock's response should be to immediately halt sales of Glock firearms and parts to all law enforcement/government agencies in California.

I heard a report that the ATF was considering declaring all Glocks machine guns due to the proliferation of Glock switches. It seemed likely enough that I picked up a couple of other makes and models to put into my EDC rotation.

That should be the response. But that won't be the response. Glock is a boot licker just like all the larger companies.
