He was charging his Tesla. Apparently a Tesla is completely disable when charging and was a sitting duck, since he was in the car.

One on line video shows a man with a rifle shooting from close range at the windshield of the car. I wondered at the time why the person Didn’t put it in reverse and get away. Now I know.

Saw a video of him training last night, he was shooting an FN2000 "Tuna". Pretty unusual thing to be shooting, sounds like he's an FN fanboy and it's likely an FN 5.7. Very odd choice for both. I don't think I've ever seen an FN2000 in person or know anyone who has shot one. Although I know a few people who have various 5.7 handguns and use them for EDC, home carry, etc. It's pretty unusual for someone to carry one with a suppressor. Any gun with a suppressor for that matter. I thought he may have just been returning from the range and that's why it was configured with the suppressor. But looking at the video last night, he's practicing drawing from a shoulder holster with the suppressor. Just seems... odd. Just my opinion.

Two things stand out to me:
Main stream media actually admitting a good guy with a gun saved lives.
The quote below from Jordan - that the shooter crumbled when confronted. That does seem common with bad guys when faced with return fire.


In-N-Out Shooting Hero broke his silence and interviewed with ABC, he speaks about how he took on the gunman.
Jordan Salinas: "He seemed unusually comfortable aiming that rifle at those cars then as soon as rounds started coming at him. Everything changed"
“As soon as some rounds started coming at him, everything changed immediately. All that bravado he had immediately crumbled,”
