I guess they don't like guns or customers that carry them. This is the only institution in the area that does this. When I redraw funds, I will tell the manager my reason!

If it's not a 30.06 sign then just ignore it. Speaking for myself I've got more important things in life to worry about than a non compliant sign.jvanwink wrote:What do you do when merchants post no gun signs? My financial institution just posted a sign. I am considering changing financial institutions.

I don't think ticking off the manager and some poor stock boy is going to prove your point.flb_78 wrote:If its a retail sales place, fill up your cart with what you want to buy, go to the register with it loaded, then ask the cashier to see the manager. If they don't see us as civil people, we gain no ground.

actually it stemmed from countries like England, Poland, and the United States of America forming isolationist policies and ignoring the slaughter of millions until it was "a threat to our nation"...nitrogen wrote: Being polite killed 6 million Jews,

Poland was isolationist? They were the first country invaded; they had no option to be "isolated" from the war. England delayed military involvement while Chamberlain was PM, but that is better described as "appeasement with fingers crossed" than isolationist. As soon as Churchill was elected, England was militarily involved, even if they did get kicked off the mainland from Dunkirk until Normandy.
The United States didn't "ignore the slaughter of millions until it was 'a threat to our nation'"; concentration camps had no bearing at all on entering the war. The large-scale slaughter didn't begin until we were already at war with Germany, and wasn't truly known until GIs liberated concentration camps. Germany was already defeated before Americans at large knew about the Holocaust.
