Off the market: Colt Cmdr "Enhanced,"

Post by G.C.Montgomery »

This is an aluminum, Colt "Lightweight" Commander that I've had for about four years but it's pretty much been a safe queen. I've only put 800-1000 rounds through it since I've owned it. I've got no room for guns I don't use. For Charles' sake, let me go on record by saying I'm not getting out of 1911's. But, I do need to buy two new Government models (my old ones are getting tired, one has a six digit round count and the other is just worn out), a new Glock 34 (cracked the slide on the old one last week), and probably at least one or two new, evil, "Black Rifles" in 5.56NATO and 7.62NATO.

Bruce Warner installed Wilson "Combat Pyramid," tritium sights in the slide. Bruce then added Ed Brown thumb-safeties and a "Memory Groove" beavertail at my request. Trigger breaks around 4lbs with a clean break and positive reset. An S&A magazine well/mainspring housing and Mil-Tac grips were also installed. Two years ago, the gun was sent to Robar for NP3 treatment inside and out.

Part of me wants to hang on to this gun but I have other guns I want more and it's taking up space. So, this commander needs to go to a good home where someone will shoot it, carry it and fondle it frequently. This is not a dog so you don't get to adopt it for free. Asking price is $1000 or best offer which includes six Wilson Combat magazines and a Comp-Tac, C-TAC holster for right-side carry. Shoot me an email for pics. Sorry, not currently interested in trades.

Thanks,

Gary

When you take the time out of your day to beat someone, it has a much longer lasting effect on their demeanor than simply shooting or tazing them.

I know you said no trades but you mentioned needing a full size. I have a SA SS MilSpec 1911 with box, papers, etc and a Kimber Stainless II 1911 with less than 500 rds thru it. I have lots of full size but only 1 commander size and want another for CCW. One of the above + Cash?

Thanks for the offer but as stated, I'm not interested in trades at this time.

To all, I've gotten home later than expected tonight. I'll try to take photos and post them before going to bed.

Photos posted! I kept them small so as not to cause anyone's connection from dragging. Bigger photos are still available via email.

Sorry man, I got caught up in a bunch of server issues at work and never could hookup with Joel before he returned to his post. I've since decided against selling this pistol just yet. I MAY sell my stainless steel commander instead but I'm still undecided. Sorry for the tease...I've just got too many things going on to deal with it right now.
