Hey, searching is kind of hard. If I could narrow it down, be able to say Houston and 30.06 instead of one or the other...that would be nice. Thanks for your site!

There are only so many metro areas in Texas. Maybe have a page that lists all the cities and you just click on a city to bring up the entries for that city. Sort of like a one-click search.

Sometimes you don't know how a city is spelled. Sometimes you are navigating with the mouse and it's nice to just keep clicking through. Switching from keyboard to mouse or mouse to keyboard is a pain for some. Not everyone has to use the mouse method or the search method. But it would be nice to have options. You could narrow it down to the top 50 cities. If 90% of the searches are always the same 20 cities, it would be nice to be able to get a listing of 30.06 places in a city with one click. Yeah, that is an often requested feature. Unfortunately I do not have the knowledge on how to do that, but another member of these forums do and I've been in talks with him on how to best implement it

I've never used this, but the following link looks like it might be something you can integrate into your code to satisfy the zip code search. It is PHP based, so hopefully your site is linux based.

Russell, sorry to be late joining this conversation. What about for the next round you do a "mash-up" with Google Maps? I don't know the details, but there are many applications built on the api that google supplies for just this purpose. As long as you have "some" address info (but maybe not even all of it), google could find where to put a little icon, either 30.06 or 51% even. That would solve the request re within a certain range of a zip code. Also, might use different icons to represent the categories. FWIW.

+1, I really appreciate the website and thought that a google map interface would be a logical conclusion. You could put in your zipcode and see all the antigun establishments around.
