And now the Wait, Finally!!

Post by sgtallen28 »

Im new here, took my class last month, just mailed my packet usps overnight yesterday, which they were scheduled to get today at noon. I had to wait as i was default in school loans, i have since set up payments and had a letter from TG faxed to me stating that my payment status in current, this was then placed in my packet. I checked everything 10+ times, im in the army and included a copy of my dd-214, les, and i.d. (front and back) hopefully this will be enough to validate service to have the fee waived. Also, i had some outstanding tickets back in 05, was pulled over and arrested, i was in jail for about 24 hrs and then had all fines paid. The only thing i could get for this dating back that far was a print out of all the charges with a "bond number" on each page. I included this as well. same job and residence in the past 5 years. does anyone see where the arrest situation or student loans would be a problem dispite what i have included in the package?

I look forward to learning as much as i can, and hopefully the wait wont be too long.

Called DPS today, and found out my App went to "processing" on the 11Dec, ironically i called the day before (10Dec) and was told it hasnt been entered yet. Something told me to just call again today. Took my class on 21Oct, They received my packet on 14 Nov. So it seems it went to processing pretty quick. Got home today and had my pin in the mail.

Don't check the site. As I and many others can tell you, it will drive you crazy. Just forget about it

I don't see a problem with it going through.

That let's me know I should expect to see my PIN in the next day or so. I mailed my packet in on 11/17.

I just got off the phone with DPS and was informed my license would go out this Monday even though my online status is still "processing". I was told they did further investigation due to an arrest for unpaid tickets. Everything cleared. time line looked like this:

21Oct07-took CHL class
13Nov07-mailed packet (had to clear up student loan issue(
15NOV07-packet received
13DEC-Received PIN in the mail
11JAN07-notified via phone that license will go out on 14JAN07
