Legal representation in the Houston/Galveston area?

Post by hsp »

I saw the post about legal representation in the Dallas area so I thought I'd posted asking who is good to use in my area. I live in Pearland; however, I spend most of my time away from the home in Harris or Galveston County areas. In my CHL class we did discuss legal representation as being a good idea before then after an event so I'm asking for recommendations now. One that is pro CHL would be a plus in my opinion as stated in a response on the other post.

There is only one lawyer to go to in your area, and that is the owner of this forum Charles Cotton. No one has a better view on CHL'ers than him IMO. :hurry:

I know about Charles, but I don't believe is does criminal cases? That's what my CHL instructor told me when I mentioned his name in the discussion.

Any one look into pre-paid legal? I see a huge advantage of a 24hr hot line, but it just seems hookey,

Anyone?

I have a pre-paid legal plan through work. I would have no qualms about using their services for a house closing or to review my will, or even for advice during an IRS audit, but I'd definitely do some serious research on the individual attorney they assigned me before I let them handle even a misdemeanor criminal case.
