Gonna fly to Washington state and pick up my pregnant daughter and drive her back to Texas, while my son in law deploys somewhere way east of here. If there is enough left over after that, I want to get an evil black rifle. Probably an AK of some sort.

tboesche, tell your SIL that our prayers go with him. Every one of our "bless this grub" prayers, plus most others, include protection for our troops.

I am hoping to use it for a down payment on a black rifle. I know that it wont be all of it, but a good start.

They were nice enough to spend part of the $42,000,000.00 they spent mailing notices to send me one that said I will not be getting a check... nor will my Fiance... but my future daughter in law, who paid maybe $10 in taxes last year will be getting one...

I agree with you Sailor. If it has to be, then at least make it fair. I am far from being in the 'richest 1 percent', but this is the first year in the last 6 that I am getting money back. After paying for the last 6 years an average of 2500 a year, I finally got smart and increased my 401K contribution to the maximum. Now Im getting a little back. If it was set up fairly, the 'Richest 1%' who pay the most taxes, would be getting more and the folks who didnt pay in would get zero. I actually know someone who I used to work with that was part time and had like 6 kids and was pregnant again who actually got back more from the IRS than she made working! Then she had the nerve to brag about it. Almost lost my job, but I managed to keep my mouth shut. BTW I had to pay the IRS $2700 that year. What a country. :mad5

Im not so sure how this stimulus package is going to save us, but my wife and I are getting money for a change, even if we have to pay it back later, and since it is supposed to stimulate our economy, I have already spent it on a shiny new Kimber Ultra Stainless II made right here in the USA. Hey, I had to do my part right? The finance plan is 0% if its paid off in a year. When my welfare gets here, Ill pay it off. Oh yeah, the credit card they sent got cut up and burned in the pit. Who needs the temptation, right? :fire

To all of you who will receive your sub-prime mortgage/recession/stimulus package/election year welfare check:

You are welcome. Mrs. Anygun and I will send in our tax check on April 14th. I hope none of your aforementioned checks bounce.

The fed will probably just print some more money to cover it anyway.

Maybe I can keep some of those Canadian Workers Comp checks they are sending me.

Nah. Hate to have the Mounties after me.

It makes me sick, that closet lib in the white house. I pay unbelievable taxes and I am VERY middle class IMHO, but we don't get a nickel back. And some career welfare scammer is going to get my rebate. I'm irate. And what happened to Bush and his tax cuts for everyone?? This is a tax cut, any way you smell it. You get taxes from some, and give it to the others.

And if we think the welfare checks are flowing now, wait until a lib gets in office. God help us.
