Most of us know this, but your questions bespeaks a lack of experience selling guns, so.....

Cabela's or any other dealer will only offer a fraction of a gun's worth if you sell directly to them.

This is just a matter of business, as they need to be able to mark it substantially and sell it for what you could have sold it for yourself.

You need to find a way to sell directly to another individual. That used to be done with newspaper classifieds, but many no longer accept firearms ads.

That is why online classified sections are so popular. Learning how to sell online isn't that difficult.

Another option is the gun show. If you try to sell to the dealers there, you face the same problem as selling to dealers elsewhere. But you can carry your firearm around the show, preferably with a legible sign describing it, and other attendees may well buy it.

For somebody looking for the exact rifle, your price should be good!! Be patient ;-) is the only thing I can add and Good Luck on your sale.

If you offer it to a dealer, the price they offer will just make you mad.
See what they are selling for on Gunbroker. Look at Completed Auctions with more than one bid.
Price your gun accordingly.
For the same money, a FTF private sale is always preferred because no sales tax, no shipping, no paperwork.
