Confronted by Hoard of Angry Wal-Mart Shoppers Last Night.

Post by Wildscar »

Talk about an interesting day yesterday. My wife calls me and asks if I can pick up the Wii-Fit that just came out yesterday. I as the loving husband says no problem I just stop by BestBuy and pick one up.

Yeah well that didn’t go well. They were sold out.
So I go to Toys R Us. Sold out.
Frys, Sold Out
1st Walmart, Sold Out
Ciurcit City, Sold out
2nd Walmart, Sold out
3rd Walmart, Got interesting. (I almost didn’t stop)

I walk back to the Electronics section and see about 2 or 3 customers milling around the counter. There was no Employee there though. So I decide to walk around the corner and I find the Employee for that section and ask him if they have one. Her replay was "YES i have one left and its behind the counter. I said great I will take it. We get to the counter and guess what the other 2 or 3 people there wanted the same thing. Since I found the Employee she promised it to me and that started a whole confrontation. People where mad and started cussing and huffing and what not. I thought I was going to have to defend myself from a hoard of angry middle aged women that probably spent all day looking everywhere for the Wii-Fit for them self’s. Well I wasn't going to be the nice guy and let them have it cause my wife wanted it and I was going to make her happy. I paid for it right then and proceed to the exit. Talk about getting stares and pointing. I make it to the car and leave as quick as possible. I even had a guy on the HWY point and stare as if to say "That’s the guy, He got the last Wii-Fit" I make it home and give it to my wife and kid, She asked what took me so long so tell them the story. My wife’s reply was "You didn't have to shoot anyone did you"

Could you see the headlines now.

Yeah, I can see the headline now....

"Argument over last Wii-Fit leads to brawl at Wal-mart. Soccer mom body slams CHL holder twice her size."

A witness stated that the man never had a chance. "That lady was serious, she tossed him like a doll.".
I am scared of empty guns and keep mine loaded at all times. The family knows the guns are loaded and treats them with respect. Loaded guns cause few accidents; empty guns kill people every year. -Elmer Keith. 1961

A taser being involved in this situation would be gold....pure gold. :biggrinjester:
