Mad and Frustrated

Post by packinginpost »

Today i decided to call the DPS while I was at work. After being on hold for 45 minutes, I got to talk to a actual person. I give her my info and told her I was approching my 90 day mark. She told me they were running 3 weeks behind and it would be 2 months on top of the 3 weeks. That is almost 6 months waiting for my license. They need to work some OT, or hire more people. There is no reason a state agency shold take so long to complete the process. They sure were fast to cash my check.
I feel a little better, but it is still frustrating.

Sounds pretty normal for right now. There is a post somewhere explaining what the hold up is and that it is taking much longer than 90 days for procession.

I'm in the same boat waiting for my renewal. Fortunately I sent in all the paperwork with 5 months before it expires. I sure hope I get it before then.

Hang in there. It will happen mine took 110 days mailbox to mailbox. You can not take the word of everyone yout talk to down there. They have some pre printed genric answers that they tell everyone who calls. Rest assured that these people are working alot of hours trying to play catch up and that your stuff is being handled. Ask very pointed/polite questions when you call and you will get a little more info each time. I would not call any more than once every 10-14 days.

Just had another member post last night that theirs was also 6 months.
No prison time for robbin banks there would be a lot of bank robbers.
No penalty for not getting them out in a timely fasion.. :banghead:
I sure hope they have it together by the time my renewal comes up.

I wish they could get things caught up. I'm sure they are doing all they can with the resources that they have. I see the ones that are receiving there plastic have been waiting for 100+ days and some a lot longer than that, so... I have tried to convince myself that that is just the way it is and to quit expecting a miracle. :cryin

Hang in there, it WILL happen!
