I have been waiting for my license since the beginning of March. The first delay came in April when I received a fingerprint card back because I missed a signature, totally my fault. I sent the card back and restarted the clock. In June I called to check the status…. Everything was completed except for the background check from Walker County. This is progress, except I live in Waller County, totally their fault. Clock was reset for a little while. Well in the beginning of July I called and they said that Waller came in and they were waiting for the final review. Called back Tuesday and a nice lady went looking for my file and found it on somebody’s desk, the person checked it out to get my license printed. The plastic was mailed on Tuesday and received on Saturday.
Today I did my Wally Walk. Nothing to it, I have a Taurus 24/7 with a 17 round mag. Not a small or light gun. Just wore my Steelers shirt to cover it. I guess the greatness of the Steelers logo on my chest kept everybody’s eyes off the slight bulge on my hip. I did not eat anything at the food court, loosing weight, but I did hang around for a long time waiting in line for a diet coke. I went to men’s clothing, then sporting goods and picked up a box of 12ga shells, then off to pick-up my action movie…”RED DAWN”, then milk and eggs, and finally the steaks. Ahhh, good times… good times.
