Here comes the .50
Here comes the .50
Well guys, I am super excited to say that in 4-6 weeks my father and I will the the owners of a Serbu Firearms BFG-50 single shot with all the options (minus the stupid engraving on the barrel). Be interested what we as intermediate shooters can do with a rifle that shoots better than us! Will post pics as time permits. I am about 4 hours from where he lives so its up to him to send me pics, but I am sure he will. Anyone else got .50s out there? Post em if you do!

Re: Here comes the .50
What is your price range? I have been doing my homework so its all kind of fresh in my mind still. Yeah I actually want to take the bad boy hog hunting. Everyone is always "Meh I don't know if a <insert caliber here> will drop em..." We will see if it drops when I take this thing outmy s is slow wrote:iam also looking for a .50 cal but prices are too dang high.

I've seen the Serbu Firearms BMG-50, but never a BFG-50. How are they different from one another?

Where you going to shoot that thing?
There aren't many 1000 yard ranges around...anything less is just tossing $5 downrange
At least you know that you aren't undergunned when/if that marauding bigrig comes around

Re: Here comes the .50
Well for now we have at least 500 yards to work with maybe more in West Texas. I think we could have more, but right now while the rifle is being built we are setting up for 500 with a dirt berm. We have to learn to shoot at 1K yards even with a .50...neither I or my father are experienced long range shooters. Technology can only improve our shots so much. The Leupold Mark 4 scope came to day, bout 4 more weeks left on the gun. I am sure there will be plenty of pictures with the unboxing
Till then, I wait with baited breath!

Re: Here comes the .50
Rifle has arrived. Pictures coming soon.

Here they are. My brilliant father is the one who mounted it and realized it was too far back afterward. But you get the idea. Enjoy
