Does anyone make a 1911 style 9MM compact? If so, who?

There's a Colt commander-sized 9mm for sale at one of my favorite gun shops.

All guns have at least two safeties. One's digital, one's cognitive. In other words - keep the digit off the trigger until ready to fire, and THINK. Some guns also have mechanical safeties on top of those. But if the first two don't work, the mechanical ones aren't guaranteed. - me

Kimber Aegis might also qualify,

especially the Ultra Aegis.

I've shot the Kimber, Springfield & STI models in 9mm and all are fantastic. If you've never shot a 1911 in 9mm then you are missing out on some great fun. I'm hoping on being able to pic one up myself next year.

Para Ordinance PDA.

This will be my next gun purchase.

Technically I guess it's not a true 1911 in the sense that it is a DA but it is still a very nice weapon.
