Howdy,
I will be taking a roadtrip from Texas to Florida in a few days. I usually keep my Rock River M-4 in the pickup. Round isn't chambered, but there's a full 30rd mag. I'd like to keep it that way on my trip. But I don't know the laws in Louisianna, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Florida. Here in Texas there are very few regulation on long guns, so I don't have to worry. What can y'all tell me about the other states. I'd also like to know Florida's law on open carrying a long gun. Not that I'll really be doing it much, but I may take my motorcycle to the range, and usually strap the rifle onto my back for the trip. It wouldn't be much fun to get arrested for it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I was looking around last night and found a thread over on The High Road, it maybe out of date info though.

Looks like Alabama is the glitch.
My google search was "carrying long gun vehicle lousiana"
Then changed the state to Alabama for a second search.
