Wow. That might even drive up sales. No self-respecting kid would ever intentionally buy, or even use, a full place setting of silverware. Turning them into "bladed articles & offensive weapons" would make them cool. I wonder what the sentence is for carrying a concealed butter knife?

This is a reminder of the fact that people get the government they deserve and will tolerate.

The English vote, and the laws cited here were passed by those voted into office and kept in place by those voted in since. The British could have demanded they be overturned, but they didn't.

There's truth in the saying that some folks' purpose in life is to serve as a warning to others.

I started to say that my Scottish ancestors had sufficiently renounced Britain when they left in 1725, but then I realized that the Scottish Parliament has been even worse than England.

That spoon looks pretty lethal. I actually remember hearing about a kid who tried to kill his brother with a spoon up in Leander, TX a couple years ago. This just goes to show that the Brits must be right, I bet he never would have found a spoon if he couldn't buy it himself... "rlol"

This is sad.
I recall a while back reading an article about how outraged British citizens are about all of the knife violence. It was really sad, you could have substituted "gun" for "knife" throughout the whole article and it would have read just like a anti - run rant here in the states. I guess the next step will be rocks and sticks. People will be fed up with all of the head bashing with rocks and will want the government to ban all bricks or rocks.

People feel like banning a weapon will stop the violence. As we all know it never does, criminals will just find another tool.

I am going to try to find that article, it makes an interesting read.

I'm surprised they haven't thought about screwdrivers. #2 Philips could be deadly.....
