WTB - Rear folding AR sight

Post by bpet »

I'm looking for a good quality rear folding (backup) sight for an AR-15 flat top. Would prefer Troy or S&W clone but will consider GG&G, ARMS #40L or YHM.

I ordered one of these last week from Mounts Plus last week. It's a #40L, and it is being delivered today, via the BBTOH. It wasn't cheap, but what is a good sight worth?

Great minds think alike. I just put a #40L on my rifle and like it a lot.

The 40L is my second choice at this time and if I can't find some kind of deal on a Troy, will likely be my final selection.

My #40L arrived this afternoon and I mounted it up. I think I actually prefer it to the ATN holosight I also have. I think I'm going to order a tritium front sight post and let it go at that.

Check the Equipment Exchange over on AR15.com, otherwise LaRue stocks them:

Great people to do business with.

Thanks for the link. I've been watching the AR15.com site for a deal but nothing yet.

Saw a S&W/Troy clone at the Mesquite GS last week for $120 but it was pretty worn. I wondered about the slop factor so figured I would cough up the extra $20 for a new Troy if I couldn't find a better deal somewhere.

Still looking but getting ready to pull the trigger. May give LaRue a shot.

I've got one of these that I opened but never mounted. I'll sell for $80, comes with the sight the allen screw and allen wrench.

Thanks for the offer. I've looked at Matech but think they stick up too high even when folded because of the 600yard range indicator scale. I would also like to have dual aperture.

Sorry but I'm gonna keep looking for a while.
