I lost my bank yesterday.

Post by scootergeek »

While heading to the EECU bank yesterday I heard on the radio of the CHASE bank shooting standoff that was just then playing out. Freaked me out thinking I was just about to go inside my bank. So I sat in the parking lot think and praying all money transactions go smooth and nobody robs it while i'm in there. So I'm walking up to the lobby think positive thoughts and did a quick pat check on the hip to triple check gun and away I went only to see a big 30.06 sign on the front window that has never been there before.

Bam ......Turned right around and went to car and left came home and have decided to cancel our account there.

Oh this was the EECU in Hurst off of precienct rd.

Do you plan to write them and let them know why you are closing your account?

+1

Tell them that denying you a licensed CCL not to be able to carry caused you to go to a different bank...they may not give a care until they start getting tons of them

Let them know!

Please put your position in writing (a letter, not e-mail) to the President of the bank. Otherwise, no one will know and there's no record of your discord.

She certainly didn't write it for you... :biggrinjester:

:iagree: I agree that it would be better to put your complaint in writing, also, I would keep a copy for yourself...just so they can't say you said something that you did not. As Charles always says, be polite and only state the facts.

Good Luck!

I could be wrong but it seems to me that most posted (30.06) financial institutions I hear about or read about are credit unions as opposed to banks. I have been in a lot of banks and have yet to see one posted or posted correctly. I do not go into credit unions but I know of several that are posted correctly and this one just adds to it.

That's been my experience too, and the credit union I once belonged to, until I found out they were posted 30.06, even if non-compliant, once they stopped being a credit union, the signs went away.

I wonder if NCUA or some other organization has some influence on that.

Scootergeek, could it have just been that branch that was posted. Have you checked to see if any of their other branches are posted. I know that the EECU has several branches. We use Qualtrust Federal Credit Union, and none of the branches we use are posted, and they have always treated us like royalty there.
