Don't bring a pistol to a knife fight

Post by seamusTX »

A robber armed with a pistol tried to rob a Japanese restaurant in Paris, France. When he tried to steal the tips, seven waiters stabbed him to death with sushi knives.

All seven waiters were arrested.

An accomplice, who was armed with a stun gun, was also arrested.

I have no idea what French law on self defense is. It's S.O.P. in most European countries to arrest everyone and let the court sort them out.

well as it was recently posted here, in England you have to be 18 to buy a cutlery set as knives are dangerous weapons

I'll save that one as proof that knives are more dangerous than guns. I strongly encourage Knife Control measures in the US. (Just leave my guns alone!)

Ø resist

Take away the second first, and the first is gone in a second.

Personally, I’m interested in keeping other people from building Utopia, because the more you believe you can create heaven on earth the more likely you are to set up guillotines in the public square to hasten the process.--James Lileks
