Re: Tyler, texas high caliber gun show
The last High Caliber show had lines out the door, people 6 deep at the tables and no bargains that I could see. OTOH, it'll be too cold and windy to fish and there's no football on the tube. Yeah, I might ride up there just to see a crowd. We don't have many crowds down here in the Pineys.

Not Tyler but I will make the Mesquite Convention Center show this weekend. Love to walk around and see how my investments have increased. Gave up on the 401K and am now relying on ammunition and guns to fund my retirement.

yep, it was crowded Saturday morning. I've never seen this big of a crowd at the Tyler show. I lasted about 30 minutes inside before I had to hit the door. It's amazing though that the firearms crowd can be so tightly packed into a building, yet be so polite and friendly.

Yepper, that's about how long I lasted at the last one in November, or was it early December? It kinda' worries me, but I can't think of anything I want or need at the present.mr surveyor wrote:yep, it was crowded Saturday morning. I've never seen this big of a crowd at the Tyler show. Re: Tyler, texas high caliber gun show
I went to the Mesquite show Saturday about 2PM.
It was VERY crowded but the crowd started to thin at around 3pm.
3 to 4 was very pleasant.
I saw a few black rifles under $1200 but not many.

Afternoon crowd apparently thinned out somewhat - at least after 3:00 or so. I was a little dissappointed in the overall show though - went to look & try IWB tuckable holsters and found none. I only found 1 table with any leather holsters at all. Also seemed like a very limited selection of smaller size semi - autos - maybe the morning crowd got them all.

Nope. That's all I saw, other than a guy selling pager pals.

I didn't really see any deals there today. Prices were such that I'd rather go to my local shop, and support them.

I agree wholeheartedly with supporting the local shop....it's like home away from home. I like to go to the gun shows to see what other folks are bringing IN

I fell for one of these after I got my CHL. I'll make you a swell deal on it and/or the hip pocket P-3AT holster.KC5AV wrote:Nope. That's all I saw, other than a guy selling pager pals.
