A copy of your DD214 should do the the trick.

DD214 works.

When I did my renewal last year, that's what I used. The packet did not say I needed to send anything, but when it finally got looked at by a person, they sent me a letter saying they needed it. Sticking to the instructions, as I did, only created an additional 60 day wait for the license (which means I didn't have an active one for awhile). I should have listened to everyone on this board who said send it in with the packet.

I used my DD214...but make sure you send the copy in that states 'Honorable Discharge' at the bottom. There's a shorter form that leaves that off that I had in my packet.

Current orders,LES, and front and back of ID card should do the trick.

The discount will be different if you send them your DD214 from active service. I would send a copy of your orders sending you to your reserve unit and a copy of your DD2.
My posts on this website are worth every cent you paid me for them.
