It's a blog, but the following link discusses a case similar to the one mentioned: http://blogs.dallasobserver.com/unfairp ... s_stor.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;ClarkLZeuss wrote:Did they mention the name of the case?pfgrone wrote:I purchased a Kershaw assisted opening knife over a year ago and was concerned enough about the switch blade question that I wrote Kershaw and asked them about the legality. As I recall, Kershaw did not specify what the court case was. You could always write Kershaw yourself and ask them if it's that important for you. Personally, I'm satisfied that the "spring assisted" blade is legal in Texas.

I do remember some details of the original case posted here about a year ago, and frankly....it should have been an easy case to win. Incredible incompetence on someone's part.
Edit: Here is the original thread. Chas. provided a pdf. of the case on page 4 of the thread.

Yes they are. they are at most gun shows, head shops, flea markets etc. And all I have seen are junk. GF has two of them, left at home of course. Blades are very loose when extended.Mike1951 wrote:I agree!
