Holster, but no gun???

I am about 30 days into the "processing application" phase. I have ordered my holster and it should be here in about 2 weeks (probably well before my plastic!!!!). I want to have the holster at least semi-broke in by the time I am legal to carry. Is it alright to wear my holster in public without the bang-bang in it? Sutpid question, just want to make sure. Thanks.

They haven't started regulating wearing leather, thankfully. You could also get a blue gun if one is available in the type you will be carrying. And of course no one is going to stop you from walking around the house armed all you want.

That is what I am doing till my plastic gets here.

Can't remember which range it was, but I remember reading about a member who was asked to leave a range for wearing an empty holster. Watch out, empty air might accidentally go off.

It's your concealment holster, correct? so, by keeping it concealed in public, this will be good practice for you as well.

Several yaers ago, I was picking up a friend of mine at the Bexar County Justice Center. I informed the rent-a-cop that I would set off the buzzer since I had on a holster. He pressed the emergency button, Sherriff deputies arrived, and was going to shoot (figuratively or literally) the rent-a-cop for calling them. He was informed rather emphaticly that a holster did not constitute a weapon and was legal. They apologized profuasely and reported the rent-a-cop to his superiors and he was fired. The deputies complimented me on my choice ofholster (kramer OWB)! They also said I was doing all the law required, was not violating any law, and have a good day.

I carried an airsoft gun in my holster from the time I got it til my plastic arrived. I was a little nervous, but figured it wouldn't be too hard to determine that it's a toy if anything happened.

Sounds good to me, get all the practice time in you can. It will help you to get use to the feel of wearing a holster all day and have a head start on the break in, also.

Magazines full of bullets are OK also. I went into the Plano Municipal court the other day and was standing at the bucket to put my stuff in before I thought about the magazine in my pocket. I went ahead and tossed it in the bucket and went through. he handed me my bucket of stuff with not so much as a blink.

Be careful wearing an IWB holster without a gun. If it is a molded holster, without a gun, you can take the shape out of the holster pressing it against your body and pants.

dimensional and it needs to stay this way. If it becomes flattened at any point, you can expect it to stay flattened.

6. If you need to remove your gun, for more than a brief moment, remove your holster from your
body. Without your gun, your holster will be more apt to become flattened and lose its rigidity. This is especially important if you wear your belt cinched tight or anticipate sitting or bending over without your gun in the holster.
