Re: AR upper
Even "inexpensive" complete barreled uppers with the bolt/carrier/charging handle group run upwards of $500 these days. I don't think you have a snowball's chance of finding one for $200. It will be interesting to see if you can actually get that price.

Re: AR upper
The very best I've done, piecing one together:
$85 upper
$85 BCG
$140 barrel assy
$17 charging handle
----------------------
$327
And that was a year ago.

Complete & ready to run in .223/5.56mm. 16" or 20" OK. Traditional or flat top OK.TexasVet wrote:$200 ? Are you talking about a stripped upper or complete with barrel, etc ?
I understand NIB prices are higher. That's why I'm looking for a basic used upper.
Thank you for the interest.

Even used I still don't think you're going to be able to do that, firearms don't depreciate fast enough for you to find one, even in a not so over-hyped market...Bart wrote:Complete & ready to run in .223/5.56mm. 16" or 20" OK. If you don't care about time-frame, I would suggest putting the money in the bank and waiting a couple of years because eventually the units demanded will be much lower than units supplied because every company is in full production right now, and it'll catch up and they'll have to lower prices.

Re: AR upper
Bart, here is a complete AR barreled upper with charging handle and bolt/carrier assembly. It's not the price you wanted, but it's available.

Re: AR upper
If you find one of these mythical $200 uppers let me know where you got it ... I could use one.
Re: AR upper
At that price I'll take three.

He'll probably buy it from the same guy who pays $550 for your pistol.killerfly128 wrote:If you find one of these mythical $200 uppers let me know where you got it ... I could use one.
