The suggestions are appreciated, and I'll let you know what I end up going with. Might even take some pics.

just be careful ...im pretty sure a baggy with a gun in it wont float..Fangs wrote:Well just my luck, I went to the river today and found a waterproof baggy floating up to me with cigs and a lighter in it. Everything was totally dry. Now to just slip my carry weapon in there... I'll let you know how it goes.
Supposedly the XD has been through all the same tests as the glock has been through, and fares just as well.ninemm wrote:My thoughts exactly.>whiplash< wrote:Carry a Glock. You don't even need the special spring cups unless you shoot under water.
Chad, the concentration of a salt water pool is so low that I doubt it would do any harm, even so, a quick rinse under fresh water would do the trick. The concentration of salt in sea water is abour 35,000ppm, in a salt water pool it is only 2,500 to 4,000 ppm. as you can see it is quite a bit lower than sea water.chad745 wrote:Glock would be bestfor this application, even with no waterproof protection, but so many pools now a days are salt water. Even for a Glock, that makes me a bit nervous. Anyone think that's unreasonable?
