*SOLD* 9mm ammo San Antonio at fair price

Post by poppo »

First, I hope ammo sales are ok, I didn't see anything saying they weren't, but if it is, a mod can remove this.

I have 1500 rounds (30 boxes) of Monarch brass 9mm I'm selling for $320.00 FTF only in San Antonio. This is less than what it costs to to buy it at Academy, plus no tax. The only catch is I'm not going to drive all over the place to deliver it. I can meet someone at the Academy at loop 1604 & Portranco.

BTW, I'm selling some of my stash to fund my Vertec project.

That's a great price in this day and age.

Only $10.67/box.

Good luck, this should sell fast.

If I were in your neck of the woods, I would be all over this deal. If you are coming to the Dallas area, I will take it.

I don't mind people trying to make a buck. But the same guy who bought it turned right around and is now selling it for $15 a box on texasguntrader (where I also had it listed). What I really don't get it that the Academys here in San Antonio almost always have the Monarch 9mm in stock now for $11.97, so what moron would pay that much extra for something that is no longer hard to find? :headscratch

It hardly seems worth it to me, hoofing around for less than $5 "profit" a box? Guy must really need the money....

Well, if he sell it all, he will make $130. I suppose he might get lucky and someone buys it all, but he offers a discount of $1 a box for 5 or more. So that brings it down to $100. Now seeing how I had the ad running for 2 days and only had one hit and I was selling it below cost, it doesn't lead me to believe he will be having people jumping all over it. Especially since it is available pretty much everywhere now.

I'm half tempted to post another ad listing it for $11.97 a box - at Academy

Similar thing happened to me on this forum. A guy bought a LCP from me(my son actually) for what I had paid for it. My son wanted to ask 25 bucks more for it but I told him to cut this guy some slack. I'll be darned, very same feller put it up for sale right here for 25 bucks more than he paid me for it three weeks earlier. Learned my lesson. Seems there is always somebody ready to pay more for something than the next guy. Guns, ammo...cars...bicycles...you name it.
