hi all, just another update to my never ending struggle...

i contacted a rep for ana hernandez again and he told me this...
"The day count doesn't start until the application is complete. Your application wasn't complete until you furnished the missing information on July 17.
I am hopeful that it will process in the next 2-3 weeks.
Law enforcement agencies other than DPS have to furnish information in addition to the investigation by DPS.
In addition, the huge backlog in Harris County is slowing it down - but the situation is beginning to improve.
Please let me know when you get it."

so not only did the dps in austin loose it after they signed the certified slip for the additional information they restarted my clock... ole well.. i think i given up.. not to make things worse the doc said he found a blockage in my heart..told me not to go to work till he see's me again.. so dps can take all the time they need.. :mad5 ole well...

04-05-09 took chl class
04-06-09 sent in packet
06-3-09 dps sent letter saying months were missing from previous addresses i lived at.
06-19-09 dps signed certified letter stating they recieved a the missing informationfrom me but LOST IT! no lie... 100% true... i have signed recept from postal service
07-17-09 dps recieved another copy from me threw a rep from ana hernandez
present... dps is prossessing my app... :totap:

First and foremost, I hope all is well with you health-wise. I wish you the best, and that is extremely unfortunate about your wait. Hopefully they will bump you a little because of their mistake, but who knows these days

Plastic in hand!....sort of. :clapping:

Two days after going to "Application Complete" (Saturday) the plastic arrived via UPS Monday morning. :anamatedbanana

The good lady's license is perfect, mine, not so much. They have a spelling mistake in the city! They sent a letter saying it will be corrected and a new license will be shipped when it arrives back from the printer.

So the question is....can I carry with the license they sent or do I have to wait? :headscratch

I am up to 120 days now, about ten days ago I called and checked and a very nice lady told me that everything was done and it was waiting for a tech. to OK it and send it to be printed. How long does it take to OK something that has really already been OKed? I am begining to get a little impatient, especially since my wife got her card on saturday. Both of our stuff was mailed on the same day

Most are open 24 hours, but there are only cashiers available from 10 a.m. to noon. Those two poor folks get lots of exercise trying to cover 30 registers...... "rlol"

You must shop at my nearest Wally world!

The latest one was that they 'lost' the key to the ammo cupboard!

Or the guy who has the key to the ammo goes home at night and takes it with him.

..and leaves it there apparently. I have to say that the customer service rep was more than a little miffed so you may very well be correct.
