Now that's ridiculous!
If they had any chance at all (which they don't), I think they should be considering a law suit depriving them of their constitutional rights. Of course, at DPS's and the State's pace, that could take centuries.

Oh no. My first post to the forum since I mailed mine off a couple of weeks ago. Judging by the comments, maybe mine will be a Christmas present. My wife and I took the class together and submitted together. But I listed three counties....

Work - Harris County
Currently Residence - Montgomery County
Previous Residence - Ft. Bend County

How screwed am i??

I'm probably in for a loooooong wait as well.

I will need TX BG Checks for: Tarrant, Denton and Dallas counties and was living in PA for two of the 5 years you need to account for. :cryin

I still think I will get Utah first, but reading the Utah forums they are in no better shape then us.

I lived in NY for 3 years, but maintained my texas residence. I listed the out of state addresses on the application.

On a call to DPS they instructed me that the out of state checks were all done with the FBI check. I don't know if that is true or fluff.

I am around 100 days and 'waiting to print'
Course 5/2
Mailed packet 5/4
Application Processing 6/10
After reprints and all FINALLY 8/5 Plastic!
