It's interesting you asked, as I've actually been trying to figure that out since I decided to sell it. I can't see anything any where in either the manual, on the case, or on the gun itself other than 1911 A1.

I THINK it is a "mil-spec" but no where does it say that. It is my only 1911 and my only Springfield. If you can tell me where to look to identify, I'd be happy to post a picture of that.

Since no beavertail grip safety, I would say it is a Mil-Spec.

It is a good gun with a GREAT price........somebody better jump on it quick.

No STUPID FLGR either!
