Why the Gap?
Why is there a two-year gap between legislative sessions?
Took class, paid fees, changed my mind. I want constitutional carry.

Because Texas founding fathers realized that when you send legislators to gather, they will insist on making laws even if all the good ones have been done. So then they will do stupid ones. Better to only allow them to do this every two years. It was assumed they would only have time to work on good laws. But now they work on the stupid laws first like controlling sexy dancing for cheerleaders and save anything important for special sessions.jsimmons wrote:Why is there a two-year gap between legislative sessions?

So be grateful that the legislators in Texas don't meet more often.

3rd Saturdays: Golden Corral, 465 E. I-20, Collins St exit, Arlington.
4th Saturdays: Sunny St. Cafe, off I-20, Exit 415, Mikus Rd, Willow Park.
