Is receiving a PIN# automatic?

Post by psehorne »

Upon receiving my application, will DPS send a pin #, or do I have to request one?

Thanks,
Paul

You can also request one by email a month or more after sending your app.

Tireshred and TexasFlash,
Thank you both. My app was just received by DPS Wednesday of this past week. So, I'll just wait.

In my case, I never received my PIN until I requested it by e-mail. I knew there would be a long wait, so I did not even request one until I had been waiting for about 11 weeks. After I sent an e-mail requesting a PIN so I could track the application on-line, it took a week for them to get back to me. Good luck and I hope your wait is short!

I was told I would received my PIN in about 3-4 weeks after my check was cashed. It was three weeks.
