LaserLyte RSL

Post by Sidro »

Just finished installing one on my XD40sc. Took two hours with a sight removal tool just to get the rear sight out. Turn and tap, turn and tap until it came out and then the RSL just slid into the dovetail with no problem. Sight locks in with set screw but am wondering if this is going to be enough? Will try it out this weekend and see how it works, sure hope recoil doesn't rattle it loose. Anyhow looks pretty good sitting on top of the slide. Will report back on how it works.

Put 75 rounds thru the xd40 sc with the new rsl on it. Shot it in on a ez101 target. Set laser at 7 yds as that was as far away from target that it could be seen in daylight conditions. Turned wife loose with it and she actually shot better with the iron sights on it than on her 4" xd. She put 18 out of 20 rounds in the center circle on the target at 7 yds. It is well worth the $145 i paid for it. No problems with sight at all.

Thanks! I'd love to see how it actually looks. Posting pics is hard the first time. After that it's easy peasy. :coolgleamA:
