New Gun Wish List

Post by TLynnHughes »

I am absolutely coming down with "gun collector fever." Here is the progression of the illness:

Approximately 18 months ago, I decided I needed a gun, small and inexpensive was the only qualification. I started with the Taurus PT-111.

Decided that having something accurate might be nice and stumbled on a sweet deal on an H&K full sized USP, which I love!
So, I thought I was done for a while. Ummmm, no, now I have a list...

H&K P30 - (continuing with my adoration of H&K)
STI Spartan - .45 - (thinking a .45 would be nice...held an STI Spartan and REALLY liked it)
S&W M&P9 - (Hoping that some of CompVest's skill is in the gun itself  )
Magnum Research Micro Desert Eagle - (looks like a carry pistol for Combat Barbie... ;-) )
Bushmaster Texas M-4 Carbine
Remington 870

So my question is....is there a cure for this fever????

Don't think so. I started 4 years ago. I am now at 25 guns. Can't seem to bring myself to sell any of them.

It's basically incureable. "She who must be obeyed" :nono: has a way of cooling the fever but it keeps coming back. :biggrinjester: "rlol"

Yeah, if some of you ladies on here who love guns weren't already married, I would propose. :thumbs2:

However, my wife would probably get mad and/or I would get arrested for polygamy.

Well there isn't a cure. My local gun shop has me on speed dial and just call me when they get something in I might like. Boy they sell me a lot of guns. Not a cure but sure is fun hearing what they have in new. I just put one on layaway for 2 or 3 months and when its paid off order something else. Listen to your inner child.

Nope. In fact, it gets worse. I started with one 18 months ago. I'm up to 19 now. If I kept all the ones I sold, I'd be over 23. And now, it has turned in to a milsurp PLUS new toy habit. So instead of buying one, I've got to get a Milsurp rifle with it.

Luckily, my wife is on board and as long as I let her shoot it, she's fine with it. :cheers2:

No real cure. It is like Maleria. Ever so often you will have an attack & you just have to treat the symptoms. :fire :hurry:

Oh yes, I need to find a gun shop that does layaway. Or maybe it's better that I don't. But then again, I'm probably spending too much money on food anyways. ;-)

For me more money on guns means less money on food = diet. I can't lose, its a win-win situation.

Well I happen to know an STI master dealer who always seems to have Spartans in stock. In fact you probably already know him. :tiphat:

TLynn, I have good news for you. After years of research, and careful evaluation there actually IS a cure for your fever.

It's roots are grounded in holistic meditation, followed by hours of introspective consideration. And it's really easy to do......
Feed The Fever! :biggrinjester: Kinda like "feed a fever, starve a cold".

That's the only cure that worked for me.

GREAT gun wish list by the way! :thumbs2: :tiphat:
