Taurus 24/7 question.

Post by shortysboy09 »

I just bought a new Taurus 24/7 Pro last night and had a question about slack in the barrel. I got it home and dis-assembled the gun to clean off the nasty packing grease from the factory.

Before I took it apart I didn't pay much attention to the slack in the barrel. After I got it back together I noticed that with the slide locked back, the barrel will wiggle around a little. Is this normal for the 24/7? With the slide locked forward in the shooting position the barrel is seated tight as can be.

I have never owned a Taurus before and I'm trying to make sure I got the gun back together correctly. Last thing I need is the barrel being destroyed the first time I shoot it.

So, should I take it back where I got it and chunk it through their storefront windows? Haha

I took it out this weekend and shot it for the first time. It's a really nice shooting gun for a very reasonable price. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Taurus. I put 300 rounds through it without the slightest problems. I shot everything from FMJ Blazer ammo to JHP Winchester's.

I thing I found a new best friend!

I had a Taurus pt 145 and loved it.
I had probably close to 1000 rounds through it with no problems other than a couple of FTF's due to the gun getting dirty during long shooting sessions. I wouldn't mind having another one myself.

.........But then again , there's a lot of guns I wouldn't mind having.

...........Come to think of it , I WANT THEM ALL ! :cryin
