BEAD Blast SS 1911...pros and cons?

Post by DONT TREAD ON ME »

I may have my gunsmith BEAD-Blast my SS 1911 and make it a flat color?

Has anyone ever done this?

What are the pros and cons?

Thanks!

Never heard of V blasting, aside from :fire reptilian aliens... Are you sure he didn't say "bead" blast - using glass beads instead of sand?

We watched "No Country for Old Men" again last night. The SS or nickel plated 1911 that the cowboy took from the dead Coyote or Lobo sure did shine :eek6 in the moonlight and the BG's headlights.

BTW, we got the drift of the movie this second time around.

WOW do I feel like a dork. Its BEAD blasting. I definitely misunderstood the gun doc when he was telling me that.

Now it makes sense why I could not find anything on V blasting....

That 1911 was either Nickel or Hi Polished SS. If it was researched correctly by the studio (which probably not) it would have been chambered in .38 Super which was a popular round with the Mexicans.

"rlol" I'm sure glad that I've never done any dorky things, I wouldn't be able to have lived with myself the past three score and seven years if I was a dork. :smilelol5:
