A Kel-Tec Commemorative Limited Edition????

Post by joe817 »

Yes. Kel-Tec is issuing a limited edition(5,000) only, of their special collectible Freedom P-3AT.

"KEL-TEC and MICHAEL SAVAGE bring you the Collectible Limited Edition “FREEDOM” Firearm.
In Honor of the 2nd Amendment, there will only be 5000 of these Commemorative Limited Edition Firearms produced.
This special P3AT FREEDOM edition is brought to you by Kel-Tec & Michael Savage with the quality craftsmanship and attention to detail that is unlike any other.

The Kel-Tec P3AT Freedom limited edition is stamped with the word ‘FREEDOM’ and is dated December 15, 1791, the ratification of the Bill of Rights.

Each firearm is individually numbered to ensure the integrity of the series. And only 5000 numbered copies plus proof will be available. This is a very limited once in a lifetime series and once they are gone it will not be repeated again."

It's really a pretty neat looking gun. It looks like it has laser sights molded into the front trigger guard.

Only $600.00.
FYI, Michael Savage is a talk show host of The Savage Nation, heard nightly up here in the DFW area on KLIF 570AM which I believe is also a Fox News Radio Network Affiliate. Jon-David Wells of the Wells Report is on 4pm-7pm daily, and is a forum member.

I find myself listening to this radio station more and more. And I can honestly say it's the first station I can remember advertising guns for sale. They also advertise CHL instructors. Quite refreshing to hear the ads, I must say.

I listen to Savage sometimes and heard him advertising that gun a few weeks ago. Seems a bit pricey but its a nice gun .

Here's a pic of it.

For comparison sake, if you bought an unadorned, unnumbered
version of this gun, how much would that one be?

$600 seems a little rich for a gun that has no ammo supply. :-)

Gun -$300 (rounding up)
Crimson trace - $ 160 (if you know where to get it)
=$460

So that means you're paying $ 140 for the up grade to the stainless slide and the commemorative engravings.

:iagree:

No offense to Kel Tec fans out there, but come on ... I mean, it's a KEL TEC ... $600?

A Ruger LCP = $300 + CT laser (web discount/eBay pricing) $150 = $450

I'm sure the Kel Tec is same or even slightly less for a basic version.

I think it is a very nice looking gun except for the bulking looking laser on it.

If I were in my 20's, could afford an investment in cash, NOT on a card!!! of $600, and bought it as an unfired investment....great deal!

Only 5000 of ANYTHING will demand a good price. But there are and will always be people that WANT SOMETHING badly. 20 years from now, unless BAMBAM (and others) get their wish, these will be worth the .12 cents (inflation for the next 20 years taken into account)! Damn fine deal indeed!

:iagree: Lose the laser. Of course, I would take it out and shoot it.

have the same laser on my LCP and I love it. Very practical; works well. It ain't for looks. Which is kinda my point. Why pretty up a cheap plastic pocket gun with the engraved steel slide? Will someone now have to make a "pocket" BBQ holster to go with this? :thumbs2:
