I typically carry at ~3:30. just off the hip bone.
I'm a freaking toothpick so I don't have anything extra to hide anything with.
I tried 6:00 and it worked fine, but I found it harder to keep it covered when bending over etc. I find it much easier to keep it hidden on the hip.
I've got a WRB IWB tuckable that I wear under everything. I've only had one person notice and that was only cause he's VERY observant and a gun person. Even then he wasn't sure what it was.
clock positions?

I carry concealed between 8 and 10.
I do a lot of driving and I have found that carring at the 9 o'clock position with an outside belt holster while seated in the drivers seat, belted down with the seat belt is just so much more comfortable and my XD-.45 is so much more accessable even while wearing a light cover garment to satisify the concealment concern.
I'm right handed and carry cross-draw even while out of the vehicle. I have found that while crossing my arms in front of me allows me instant access to the handle of my weapon while it is still concealed behind my cover garment, and the crossing of arms is not provocative in most if not all circumstances.
Now, while wearing my cover garment; 511 vest, light jacket, sport or suit coat, long rain/trench coat or a heavy winter parka by utilizing the crossdraw, I don't have to move the garment out of the way to reach my weapon. This would not be of any concern if I were a Law Enforcemnt Officer with open carry, but I'm not-and I can't open carry in Texas-I'm just a citizen who has to keep his weapon both secure and hidden.
There are those who say it's slower, but when you factor in the moving of a cover garment out of the way, i.e.: tucked in shirt, then I'm just as fast or faster.
