WTB: Kimber Pro CDP II

Post by MojoTexas »

Anyone knows a place that has them in stock in the DFW area? I've checked a few places, and nobody seems to have them.

I know I can have one ordered, or buy one online, but I'm impatient and would prefer to just buy the pistol FTF.

Thanks,

Check Bullet Trap in Plano. I could have sworn I saw one of those there a couple weeks ago. They have more Kimbers sitting on the shelf than most places I have been lately.

I'm pretty sure I saw one at the Bullet Trap a couple of weeks ago. Whether its still there or not I dont know, though.

I went by the Bullet Trap on Wednesday, and they didn't have any. I might check again today on my way home.

EDIT: They had plenty of Kimbers, just not the exact one I'm looking for.

Gunmaster in Plano - just North of Bullet Trap (near Spring Creek Parkway) is a Kimber Master Dealer and always has a good selection. Try giving them a call and ask.

If you don't mind the short drive, Gander Mountain in Sherman say they have one for $1299.99, also the Ultra CDP w/ Crimson Trace. :tiphat:

I went by Gunmaster today after work, and although they didn't have the Pro CDP II, I came really close to getting another model. The problem is, Kimber has so many variations, that I couldn't make up my mind! I almost bought one of the Pros with the Crimson Trace grips, but I can't decide if I really want them or not.

You may want to try Bachman Gun and Pawn on Northwest Highway. I was in there on Wednesday and they have a case full of Kimbers. I'm not sure if they the model you are looking for, but you could always make a phone call.

Well I caved to impulse buying, and instead of the Pro CDP II I bought a Kimber Eclipse Pro II from the Bullet Trap yesterday. Took it back to the Bullet Trap today and put about 150 rounds through it...it handled like a dream!

I didn't realize until I got home that the Eclipse has a steel instead of aluminum frame, but after shooting it today I'm glad I got a steel frame instead of aluminum. It made the recoil much more manageable and was very quick to get back on target. I have been wearing it in a Galco Combat Master OWB holster and the weight isn't that bad. It also conceals very well under an un-tucked shirt. I'll be ordering an IWB holster for it soon though.

Can't beat the VMII imo...

(Edited out my post. I originally offered to sell my Kimber but my wife freaked out when she heard I was willing to sell off our favorite .45 auto. Sorry about that!)
