I love my Kimber ultra carry. Like all kimber pistols, there was a break in period that I had to endure, but I since I've gotten that out of the way it eats everything I've thrown at it. Only malfunctions I've had have been mag related, and if you decide on going with the kimber, I suggest that you replace the kimber mags with some wilson combat mags and hold off finale judgment on the weapon until you've put a few hundred rounds through it. Like always, your mileage may vary.

I am planning on adding a full size kimber to my collection as soon as I come up with the funds.

Just an aside: To properly break in the pistol, fire 50 rounds of quality ammo through it, and then clean it. Fire 100 rounds through it, then clean it again. Continue the 100 round/clean cycle until you've put about 500 rounds through it. Some folks have the pistol broken in at the 200 round mark, and some take a little over 500. It varies. I am not an expert, but this seems to be the most recommended procedure that I've heard of for break in. Good luck in your decision! (It's a tough on)

:txflag:

Edit: Like longtooth says, Kimbers don't like to be dirty.
