Where to find Colt logo 1911 grips (not medallion)

Post by rm9792 »

I have looked at dozens of sites and cant find the style grips I am looking for to put on an Officers ACP. Here are some samples. I am basically looking [abbreviated profanity deleted] rgrips with the Colt name engraved in the wood. I saw a set ona pistol at a show recently and cant find them on the web, the logo was larger than most of these and was either painted black or likely blackened when engraving (just the letters).

I love those kinds of grips, with the logo carved into them. But since they are a trademarked logo, I don't think you could find it at any grip maker. Just my opinion. I don't know that for a fact....just an educated guess.

You might want to call a Colt dealer in your area, and ask him about special ordering you the grips you want. Or call Colt customer service & see what they have to say.

I too looked around online and could find NOTHING even close to what you're looking for. Which leads me to believe they are available only from Colt themselves.

THIS COMPANY makes what you are looking for. No online ordering though, Here's a link to their contact page.

Found the common thread, they are all Talo Colts. Maybe call them and see if they sell the grips. I have a Talo so might get them to sell me another set.
