Ankle Holster with Jeans

Post by marksiwel »

Looking at Ankle Holsters, then I thought, how the heck am I going to wear this with Jeans on?
Anyone?

I wear mine with a pair of straight cut jeans just fine. Wrangler's work OK too if the gun isn't too big. I think it has more to do with how tight you wear your pants than anything else. I'm a guy with an "expansive" physique and a "prosperous" midsection, so pants that are tailored to fit my waist are often a little loose in the legs. That's OK with me because it is comfortable, but also makes ankle carry more practical.

Maybe take a look at some Carhart jeans, they have a little wider leg.

Yeah, the problem I have with Carhartt jeans is that they're tailored for eunuchs, even the "loose fit" ones. I tried some on at Cabela's the other day and though I was going to be mistaken with a member of a boy's choir if I kept them on any longer. Perhaps it's not a problem for folks who low-ride their pants, but that's not practical when belt-carrying a Hi-Power.

Even the Dungaree fit pants leave much to be desired in crotch space, and I just lost my last pair of canvas dungaree Carhartts due to inappropriate wear down there. Granted, they lasted for over a year, worn a couple days a week at least, but that didn't make them any more comfortable along the way.

I agree with TAM vis-a-vis size, shape of me and the jeans. Where I have a problem is when I'm at the beach or a neighbors' pool party and need to conceal my ankle holster under my thong.

I have a couple ankle holsters and try not to carry that way. In jeans I have trouble getting my pant leg up to draw. I also don't like not being able to cross my legs when I sit. I don't cross them "sissy style" like the "pretty boys" do... I like to sit with my ankle resting on my knee to give an idea of what I am talking about. If I do choose ankle carry, I usually do it with Docker style slacks or dress slacks. It can be bothersome always worrying about your pant leg riding up when you sit.
